June 23-25, 2008
Caribe Royale Resort and Convention Center
Orlando, Florida, USA
UAV'08, the 2008 International Symposium on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, will be held in federation with CAD'08, the 2008 International CAD Conference and Exhibition. The central objective of UAV'08 is to bring together different groups of qualified representatives from the FAA, Government Agencies, Military, Funding Agencies, Industry and Academia to discuss the current state of UAV advances, the roadmap to their full utilization in military and civilian domains, but also present current obstacles, barriers, bottlenecks and limitations to flying autonomously UAVs in civilian space. As such, UAV risk analysis assessment, safety, airworthiness and certification issues are of paramount importance and central to the Symposium objectives.

Through keynote addresses, and various presentations, it is expected that the outcome of the Symposium will be a clear understanding of what needs be done in compliance with FAA rules, regulations and procedures, paving the way towards flying UAVs in civilian space.
A key and essential focus will be current and future research opportunities, needs and funding in UAV related technologies, as seen from the potential sponsors’, industry’s, military’s and FAA’s point of view.
The event managers are Archytas Unmanned Systems, LLC and CAD Solutions, LLC. Details are posted on the web site the CAD'08 with a direct link to UAV'08. The "Call for Papers" is posted on the left.
